Palms that are exceptionally predisposed to this problem include most of the pinnate-leaved palms that do not have crownshafts. The career that he enjoyed the most was the many years spent serving at Mountain Top Youth Camp in Pinnacle, NC before retiring to Park of the Palms in Florida. One of the most common reasons for bud rot (the bud is the growing center of the palm where the new leaves come from) in palms is excessive watering of the crowns. He had many jobs in his career making dentures, painting houses, maintenance at Pilot Life. Mr Anderson was born to the late William Carey Anderson and Joyce Smith Anderson. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. ![]() Pastor Mark Shelley from the chapel will officiate. His long time home church while living in Greensboro was Shannon Hills Bible Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, January 25 at noon followed by a funeral service at 1pm at George Brothers Funeral Service in Greensboro, NC.
